HI, I'M HELEN

I am a fine art photographer based in the beautiful Wairarapa, New Zealand. Without a doubt, photography is magic. How else can we stop time? How else can we see the unseen? I became a photographer because I wanted to be a magician. There is an abundance of beauty around us. Even in these anxious times of pandemics and far away wars, there is life and beauty. Be it the splash of water, the stars in the sky, the barbs on a feather, the smile of a loved one. And flowers, always flowers. Capturing this beauty in a piece of art is like hanging magic on the wall. I love what I do!

I am accredited as a professional fine art photographer by the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photographers (NZIPP). I have won awards both nationally and internationally in a wide range of categories including documentary, creative, child, pure, nature, landscape, portrait, and illustrative.
